The compressors in most ducted systems only have two modes: on or off. Compressor start-up consumes a lot of energy, and it can be noisy, too. But the inverter technology inside every Carrier Ductless system lets the compressor continually adjust its speed to keep the room temperature where it should be.

2. EFFICIENCY

SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is an efficiency rating, much like the MPG on a car. A Multi-Zone System can be as efficient as 42 SEER Ductless system. It talks by itself if you compare with the conventional AC units in absolute majority of houses which are usually SEER 13 to 15.
